Emma’s Colonic Blog 3!
Here we are already on week 3, and what a January it has been so far! I have met so many wonderful new clients and welcomed back many amazing existing ones I can’t believe we are still only on month one! However, they do say January is the longest month of the year despite several others having the same amount of days. I hope you are taking the time to look after YOU this month, that can be time to sit and have a cuppa, 10 minutes outside, reading your favourite book, visiting the gym – anything that you enjoy! What I am really hopjng you will do is book in with me for a colonic, so without further ado let me carry on with the benefits…..
The Benefits. Part Two.
Skin Improvements – I have clients who come to me that have noticed improvements in their skin, from reduction in spots to improvement in eczema symptoms. I am I niave enough to put this down to just colonics? No. But I do know before these clients started receiving colon hydrotherapy they had stopped seeing an improvement in their skin, so it has to be commended for some of the work.
Reduced depression and anxiety symptoms – this is thought to be due to the gut housing serotonin receptors. Serotonin is the key hormone in our body that stabilises mood, feelings of wellbeing and happiness. The reason colonocs help with this is that when the gut is cleansed it removes the waste blocking these receptors hence the body can begin to feel the benefits of serotonin again. In fact the gut is responsible for metabolising hormones in the body – and that will be mentioned in another blog later this year, as it is so complex it deserves a blog to itself!
Relief of IBS symptoms – by relieving gas, helping to ease constipation and stimulating the natural peristalsis of the muscles of the gut. We don’t just focus on your gut being the problem, we look at your whole self, treatments you have tried already, what you eat and the way you eat it plus your relationship with food and exercise. You are a package, not just your gut and we help you to make small positive changes which can help the IBS.
I could write blogs every week about the benefits of colon hydrotherapy, but the truth is there are so many you would soon get fed up of a blog listing benefits. In addition people find different benefits from the treatment and we can discuss what these may be with you during your appointment. Now you know some of the benefits, you know how I started out and the next question I think is – what happens during an appointment? Catch up next week and you will find out.
