Stay In Your Own Lane
Hello!
You may have noticed I haven’t blogged for a couple of weeks, apologies for the disappearance. Nothing major to report, just a busy period of time in my life. This lead me on to thinking of how our busy lives effect our guts, and what others perception of how we eat may be.
I just got off the phone to a potential new client and she said “you just think everyone is perfect sitting down all together to have tea at 5pm don’t you”, she didn’t mean ‘you’ as in ‘me’ but rather the collective of how people believe the lives of others to be. Don’t worry this isn’t going to be too deep and meaningful. But what ‘we’ do in our lives has a direct impact on what our gut does or doesn’t do.
For example, you have a busy day at the office and ate your lunch in a meeting and then you suffer heartburn and bloating throughout the afternoon, then your kids need taking to gymnastics, football and swimming all at once but in different places so you miss your tea. The next morning, when you would normally go for your poo – you don’t! Guess why? Because yesterday has effected today! I will break down over the coming weeks exactly how all this effects your gut because it is too much for just one post.
I suppose I just wanted this week to be a chance to touch base, remind you to stay in your own lane and don’t compare yourself. You are doing the best you can, with the time you have and – you’re awesome.
Love Emma xx
